The plan was to have the frame media blasted.  Having the frame rust free would help determine which cross members to keep and which to replace.  The quotes received from local blasters were reasonable.  On a whim, I called a local sheet metal fab shop to price fabrication of all cross members.  The quote received was within $100 of the media blast cost.  From initial evaluation, I could tell that half of the cross members would need to be replaced, so I just decided to replace all of the cross members.  I cut out two existing cross members and delivered them to the fab shop.
