Rivets installed in tank covers. Rivnut installation.

Pop rivets replace the temporary Cleco fasteners in the tank covers.
The protective film is removed before rivet installation.
The center section skin will be permanently secured in the coming days, so I drilled a hole for brake wiring while it was on my mind.
The bolts for the aft axle aft spring mounts are removed to facilitate belly skin and tank cover installation. The axle and springs pivot out of the work area at the forward mount.
Rivnuts provide a method to add threads to materials that are too thin to tap. A special installation tool is required to install. The pics below illustrate the install.
We managed to get all of the rivnuts installed for the 6 gallon tank cover.
