Removed the water heater this evening.

---------------------------------------------------

The water heater is removed from the outside of the trailer.  Fasteners around the circumference of the exterior opening retain the water heater.  On the interior, the water heater sits on a wood block that is screwed to the subfloor.  Once the gas and water lines are free of the tank, and the sealant if loosened on the exterior frame, the tank slides out.

The subfloor below the tank is now visible.  Wood rot was visible when the closet was removed, but the true extent of the damage is now evident.  Wood rot extends from the wheel well cutout to well under the black water tank.  I had hoped that I wouldn't have to remove the black water tank, but now it must come out also.  The copper pipe leading to the toilet was found separated at 2 fittings.  I am glad that I didn't test the water system prior starting this project.

There is an aluminum sheet under the subfloor in this area.  No corrosion was noted in the sheet.

The toilet, pedestal, and blackwater tank will be removed next.  I'll probably have to pull the aft belly pan for drain access.  This will have to wait until another day.....
