I finally had a little time to work on the frame.

These plates are for the forward attach points for the 6 gallon tank straps.
I had to cut the lower flange of the forward cross member so that the 6 gallon tank would fit between the cross members. This weakened the forward cross member and permitted it to flex a bit too much. I cut a flange from a spare cross member and it will be welded to the forward face of the cross member. This will restore the cross member to original strength.
