Marked locations of vents and drains on the gray tanks.
---------------------------------------------------
Placed the old subfloor on the frame to determine the location where the kitchen sink drain and vent pass thru the floor. The drain/vent location on the 6 gallon is marked (visible in pics further down). This vent will also be used by the 18 gallon tank.
There is a floor splice at this location. I had to take this into consideration when fabricated the tank mount, ensuring that the tank is recessed enough to leave room for the splice.
The next section of subfloor is placed on the frame to determine relative location of the shower drain to the 9 gallon tank.
A hole is cut into the cross member to permit the black tank drain to pass.
...the hole needs to be a little bigger...
The black tank fits nicely now.
Now that the black tank is in place, I can check drain valve assembly alignment.
A couple of pics with the tanks in their final locations.....
The old water heater is put in place to help determine the clearance for the 9 gallon tank vent. This vent will tie into the black tank vent.
The 6 gallon tank will drain into the 18 gallon tank. Drain locations are marked.
All vent and drain locations have been determined. Time to start welding.
That's all for today.
