This afternoon was spent removing the gaucho bed and dinette area.

Removed the old carpet that was exposed after removing the dinette bench seat.  Found an area of wood rot located where the frame/tongue enters the shell.  Also more evidence of wood rot at the entrance door location.

While removing the old carpet in the corner, I noticed something that bugs me about the construction of this trailer.  The factory installed the carpet on the plywood floor, all of the way to the plywood edge,  prior to installing the shell.  The shell is placed on the carpet, and then bolted to the plywood, with carpet between shell and plywood.  If the carpet is completely removed, rather than just cutting it back to the inside wall only, an 1/8" to 1/4" gap is left between the shell and plywood.  Shell, carpet, plywood, frame.  Brilliant.  I'm not sure how to manage this situation.  I'll figure it out once I've vacated the interior.

That's all for today.
